God's Not Dope

When I picked up a drink, I immediately felt better. The dopamine hit. Instant gratification. In recovery we trade in the drink/drug for a spiritual life where we depend on God. But do you ever notice how easy it is to treat God & the spiritual the same way we treated our addiction? We crave a feeling…instant gratification. Take away the pain and enhance the happy.

But the problem is: GOD’S NOT DOPE.
