Week 1: Authenticity…And The Thing About Corals & Living Water

When I was visiting Shedd Aquarium in Chicago in May, I became fascinated with coral reefs. Did you know corals build hard skeletons around themselves for protection. When the coral dies, it’s skeleton becomes the foundation for the next generation. We do the same thing don’t we? We get tired of the pain, tired of hurting…so we build a hard skeletal shell around us—no one’s getting in, not even God. But when this shell starts to crack, then we move closer to authenticity.
