Week 3 - Breaking the Silence

Buddy O’Connor will join me as our Guest Storyteller. Buddy was really good in school. He was the smart kid and kind to others…he got attached to the accolades that came with that. He discovered alcohol in college: “I didn’t know this sensation was available to me.” Addiction sent him into a life of hiding and not being able to show up as a husband and a father. On November 16, 2021 Buddy was behind the wheel of his car—drunk—with his infant daughter in the backseat. There was an accident. This moment marked the end of something old and the beginning of something new. Buddy will be BREAKING THE SILENCE and sharing his recovery story publicly for the first time this Saturday.
